Ranjana is Ready to Ride the Waves.
An Ocean in her Name.
Her name is Ranjana Sagar.
There is an ocean in her name and she is ready to ride the waves.
She is researching a book.
She wants this book to change the way the world teaches children and the way the teachers and parents behave.
Her book is called The Compassionate Teacher Chalisa— Forty Mighty Steps to Heart to Heart Education.
She is 32 and single. She is from Kanpur in UP, India
She trains future teachers in a Bachelor of Education course. All her students will soon be teaching in school in Northern India.
Find a Niche
Her first step is to find a niche in this ever expanding world of intricate careers and occupations.
She does not want to be everything to everyone. Instead, she wants to be the “go to person” in the world when it comes to heart to heart education. That is her niche.
She has placed herself in that triune confluence of pedagogy, psychology and spirituality.
She plans to be
- An Author,
- A Blogger,
- A Creator and Marketer of knowledge products, tools and templates,
- A Designer of apps,
- A Coach and Mentor and
- Owner of the world’s biggest resource center on compassionate teaching.
She wants compassionate teaching be her niche and her life long passion
Fortunately, she thinks, she has found a compassionate mentor and guide to help her in her journey and to co-author this book with her.
Relational Geniuses
Ranjana believes caring, as a universal human phenomenon, should permeate elementary, secondary and tertiary level instruction.
The practice of teaching, is not only substantial and procedural but relational as well.
To teach with a heart is the essence that makes teaching a form of caring.
When teaching is viewed as a form of caring, teachers become relational geniuses in their own right.
For those who imbibe the spirit of this book and her proposed courses acts of teaching become acts.
The extent to which teachers’ caring behavior is felt and experienced by the students positively shapes their orientations as cared-for individuals.
